Aimee Gellard

A twenty-one year old screenwriter, & pop-culture junkie in Perth, Western Australia.

Aimee recently completed a Film and Television degree at Curtin University. However, finding that it was of little help to her, she decided to continue her studies with yet another pointless degree; a Masters in Professional Communications at the Western Australian Screen Academy.

Aimee spends her free time writing, and reading the autobiographies of those more famous than herself. She enjoys The Princess Bride, coffee, and talking about herself in the third person.

She thinks it makes her seem more legitimate.

Don't worry if you've never seen any of her films. No one else has either.
“Like unicorns riding gazelles at a waterpark on the moon…”
And that’s another draft of ‘Skaters’ smashed out.
We’re bumping up near the 20 page mark, which is a little daunting. However, we’ve bucked the typical screenwriting trend of being concise in lieu of being needlessly verbose. It’s more entertaining this way and also, we get to run this rodeo however we want to. So that’s pushing up the page count.
The power may have gone to our heads a little.
At this point it’s shaping up pretty well, and I’m really happy with how it’s going. We had a recce yesterday to Rolloways O’Connor, which was great because I’ve really missed skating. Other members of the Skaters Team *cough*theproducer*cough* were less graceful, but we have plenty of time to practise before shooting commences.
